Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) has completed an ambitious modernization project in studios 101 and 102 of the Casa de la Radio, incorporating state-of-the-art LED screens from manufacturer SHARP/NEC. The integration, design, and installation of the system was carried out by Broad Service, a company specializing in audiovisual and broadcast solutions, which contributed its experience in engineering and implementing complex projects in highly demanding environments.

The project equips Studio 101 with a 9.1 x 1.7-meter modular LED screen, consisting of two sections joined at a 120º angle, while Studio 102 has incorporated a 4.8 x 1.7-meter screen. Both solutions are based on the NEC FE015i3 series, with Flip-Chip SMD technology, which offers high levels of contrast, energy efficiency, and minimal heat emission, all of which are essential aspects in this type of project.

Broad Service has designed a turnkey solution, supplying not only the LED screens, but also the entire ecosystem necessary for their operation. Content flow is managed using Resolume Arena software, widely used in professional projection and broadcast environments, which allows layers of video, graphics, images, and visual effects to be superimposed in real time. Its integration with Elgato’s Stream Deck+ controller simplifies operation, offering RTVE technicians an intuitive and agile interface. This configuration facilitates process automation and the incorporation of dynamic content on the screens without the need for large operating resources, providing efficiency and versatility in daily production.
In addition, custom-designed floor-mounted supports have been designed with integrated acoustic panels and protections that improve speech intelligibility inside the studios and conceal the wiring and mounting structure.

With this project, RTVE reinforces its commitment to technological innovation and convergence between radio and audiovisual formats, equipping its studios with tools that enable new production dynamics, a better visual experience for guests and broadcasters, and greater versatility in the use of spaces.

“La Casa de la Radio is being upgraded with state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to meet the new challenges of audiovisual production. These LED screens offer us flexibility and a qualitative leap in content presentation,” said Manuel Gimenez, Director of Media and Operations at RNE.
For its part, Broad Service emphasizes the added value of integration: “We have designed and implemented a customized solution that combines technological innovation with ease of use and reliability. Our mission is to offer customers such as RTVE robust systems that are ready to evolve with the needs of the sector,” said Iván Olmeda, CEO of Broad Service.

Broad Service’s experience in audiovisual integration projects has been key to the execution of this project. With more than 20 years of experience, the company has developed solutions for public and private television stations, universities, cultural institutions, and media outlets, establishing itself as a leading technology partner in Spain and internationally.

This project in RTVE’s 101 and 102 studios reaffirms Broad Service’s position as a strategic integrator in the digital transformation process of the broadcast sector, providing innovative and sustainable solutions that improve both technical operations and the communication experience.
