An experienced and knowledgeable integrator
Broad Service has played a crucial role not only in the supply of the equipment, but also in the complete integration of the solution, ensuring that the system was perfectly tailored to CMM’s operational needs. With extensive experience in the design and implementation of high performance audio systems for national broadcasters and audiovisual companies, Broad Service has offered a comprehensive service that goes beyond simple installation. From the selection of the right equipment to the final commissioning, the company has worked closely with CMM’s technical team to ensure that the sound system was fully functional and optimised for their daily operations.
Comprehensive training for the CMM team
One of the highlights of Broad Service’s involvement was the comprehensive training provided to CMM’s technical staff. The Broad Service team provided detailed training sessions on the use of the systems supplied, ensuring that CMM engineers and operators were fully prepared to operate the Yamaha RIVAGE PM with complete confidence. This included training in the use of the console, setting up the audio sends, integration with the DSP processing system and operation of the Dan Dugan automatic mixer.

The training also covered advanced aspects such as configuring Dante and TWINLANe audio networks, managing effects plug-ins, and handling the redundancy and security features of the system. Broad Service’s goal is that CMM can take full advantage of the capabilities of its new sound system and that staff are fully trained to ensure flawless performance on all productions.
Advanced solution with Yamaha RIVAGE PM console
The system installed at CMM includes a high-performance configuration based on the Yamaha RIVAGE PM console. This configuration consists of the PM5 main console and a PM3 backup system, both equipped with the DSP-RX processing engine and RIO3224-D2 I/O units. Thanks to its advanced connectivity and processing capacity of up to 120 channels, this solution offers exceptional flexibility and reliability for live productions, ensuring that CMM has a state-of-the-art system.
CS-R5 and CS-R3 control surface: Operational flexibility
The CS-R5 control surface, installed on the RIVAGE PM5 main console, provides an intuitive and ergonomic interface for CMM sound engineers, with three touch screens and three 12-fader bodies. This configuration offers the flexibility to adapt to the most complex operational needs.

For the back-up system, Broad Service has supplied Yamaha’s CS-R3 control surface, which, although compact, maintains the same quality and operability as other systems in the RIVAGE PM series. This ensures full redundancy, allowing the back-up system to operate efficiently in the event of main equipment failure.
Advanced technology for live mixing
The system also includes the innovative Dan Dugan automatic mixer, which automatically optimises the gain of the microphones in real time, simulating the work of an experienced technician. This facilitates the mixing of spoken interventions in real time, reducing the need for manual adjustments and ensuring consistent quality without interruption. In addition, the system features DaNSe noise suppression, which helps eliminate unwanted noise, improving sound clarity, an invaluable feature in live productions such as theatres, musicals or sporting events.
DSP-RX Processing: Safety and Reliability
The DSP-RX processor installed in the system provides up to 120 channels of signal processing capability, ensuring robust and stable performance. In mirroring mode, the two DSP-RX engines provide full redundancy, ensuring that in case of failure of one engine, the other takes over the load without interruption. This reinforces system reliability, especially in live broadcast environments where safety is critical.
