The Bartolomé Serra Production Centre of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University has taken a big step towards the technological forefront with the change of its halogen lighting system to high efficiency LED lighting. This project has been carried out by Broad Service and with the collaboration of Grau Luminotecnia.

The new LED lighting system not only improves the energy efficiency of the sets, but also provides greater flexibility in the control of the equipment, thanks to the integration of wireless CRMX technology. This advance will allow the centre’s technicians to manage the lighting remotely, optimising operations and offering more precise and agile control of the lighting on the sets.
The supply includes Velvet’s Kosmos and Evo projectors, which incorporate state-of-the-art LED technology, and a network of portable iPads to facilitate remote control from the management consoles. Wysiwyg design and scheduling software will also be installed, providing an advanced tool for the visualisation and scheduling of set lighting.
Broad Service, with more than 20 years of experience in set installations, was responsible for the entire process, from design engineering to installation, cabling and adjustment of power lines to ensure compatibility with the new LED systems.
In addition, the project included specialised training for the university’s technical and operational staff to ensure the correct use and maintenance of the system, optimising its performance in daily productions.
Broad Service’s after-sales maintenance and technical support service will guarantee the continuity of the system throughout its life cycle, with remote assistance and on-site attention within a maximum period of 24 hours in the event of an incident.
With this change, CEU Cardenal Herrera University not only modernises its facilities, but also reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and excellence in the production of audiovisual content.
